About the city

Living in Miramar

Miramar is in southwest Broward County. Commuters can reach Fort Lauderdale and both major airports without a long drive.

The city grew from east to west. Older neighborhoods are closer to the eastern side, and newer subdivisions and planned communities fill much of the west. Housing includes single-family homes, townhomes, and condos.

For recreation, Miramar Regional Park and the Ansin Sports Complex host sports and events, and the Snake Warrior's Island Natural Area offers a quieter outdoor option. Miramar Town Center brings city services, a library, and a cultural center together in one place. I-75, Florida's Turnpike, and U.S. 27 handle most of the traffic in and out.
